Anna specialises in legislative developments research, with a focus on assessing impacts on payments, existing business structures and products. 


Before joining FM Legal, Anna worked as an engineer with Ukrainian Railways. Having retrained into the legal profession, Anna started her work in the financial services industry, where she developed her knowledge of the functioning of payment products including virtual currencies and blockchain technology.

Anna now works on a variety of regulatory and compliance projects in the payment sector.

She advises businesses on obligations arising from e-money and payments law, as well as anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing laws. Anna has experience in consulting clients on the legal requirements and conditions for obtaining a payment institution or electronic money institution licences.

Anna has an interest in payments innovations and open banking. She takes part in several working groups that are defining policy objectives for open finance across the EU and the UK.
